PROGRAMMING

A unique curatorial approach will govern all three components of 3S Artspace and distinguish the organization from others in the region. Our niche will be the presentation of emerging and unconventional arts and artists. 3S will strive to bring in talent that would otherwise not be represented in the region, whether that be an up-and-coming national touring band or a local visual artist.
We believe that bringing new artists to the Seacoast, while nurturing our local talent, and commingling the two whenever possible, is key to sustaining a thriving cultural scene and—because of its unique size—something 3S can accomplish in a single space. It is at the core of our vision to strike this important balance. We are dedicated to the exhibition of new and stimulating art, music, lectures, theater, and film, while also providing a space in which to present the work of the best and brightest talent from around the region.
We at 3S see food as part of our programming—like the art on the gallery walls and the performances on the 3S stage, the restaurant at 3S will be imbued with the same values that drive the other components of the organization. The restaurant will not simply be a place to “grab a bite,” but will be a place of creativity and a source of nourishment. We are committed to environmentally sustainable dining, sourcing our food locally whenever possible, and maintaining a menu that is at once inspired and delicious, and with items at a price point that is accessible as possible.
We at 3S are committed, in all of our endeavors, to make our programming accessible to the most diverse audiences possible. In order to thrive as the community gathering space we aspire to be, we need to be inclusive of all ages, interests, and financial means.
