Development Manager (full-time)

3S Artspace is looking for a creative, driven, and strategic fundraiser to join our team.

The Development Manager works with current and prospective donors to foster lasting relationships between the organization and our constituents, promoting positive experiences and attitudes toward giving. Our ideal candidate will be optimistic, articulate, personable, and goal-oriented. They will be responsible for researching, cultivating, growing, and retaining the corporate and personal relationships that are so vital to 3S’ success.

Candidates must be able to synthesize information quickly and creatively connect to a partner’s goals and interests so that a meaningful association can take place. Candidates must have a knowledge base related to non-profits, (preferably arts based), philanthropy, and/or corporate giving.

This position works closely with and reports to the Executive Director.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate (and improve upon) the current goals, strategies, and stewardship practices of 3S Artspace
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and secure new financial commitments;
  • Strengthen existing and past relationships with donors;
  • Record and process all donations;
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of prospects, correspondence, status, etc.;
  • Ensure that all points of contact with 3S (ticket buyers, art buyers, etc.) are integrated into the pipeline;
  • Serve as staff lead and liaison to the Board Development Committee, (meets monthly);
  • Serve as 3S Artspace representative at external events and meetings as appropriate;
  • Collaborate with ED and Board of Directors on cultivation and recognition opportunities;
  • Prepare donor research and briefings as appropriate to ensure Leadership is prepared for meetings/events;
  • Develop and maintain appropriate recognition opportunities; and
  • Perform related administrative duties, including but not limited to: mailings, online fundraising events, etc. (NH Gives, Giving Tuesday, etc.)

Every 3S staff member is ready, willing, and able to take on other duties as needed to support the team and move the organization forward. We are a casual, professional, and collegial team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum 3 - 5 years related fundraising experience (or demonstrated equivalent experience);
  • Proven track record in fundraising;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Comfort with public speaking;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in deadline-driven environment, while maintaining flexibility, patience, tact, diplomacy, and discretion;
  • Willingness and ability to listen and communicate respectfully and effectively with a diverse range of individuals;
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and effectively without close supervision as well as collaboratively as a member of a team; and
  • Proficiency with a variety of CRMs. We currently utilize Little Green Light for donor management, Eventbrite for ticketing, and Square for retail/art sales.
  • Experience with multi-year giving campaigns a plus.
  • Grant writing experience a plus.
  • Experience in the Seacoast community of NH a plus.
  • Basic graphic design skills/experience a strong plus.

Compensation and Culture:

  • Salary commensurate with experience, ($50-$70k). This position is designed as a full-time position, however we are willing to consider part-time employment for the right candidate(s).
