CALL FOR ARTISTS
CARVE YOUR LARGE-SCALE WOODBLOCK
AND PRINT WITH BIG INK'S GIANT MOBILE PRESS

BIG INK is hosting a weekend of monumental woodblock printing at 3S Artspace in the summer of 2023 on August 26 and 27. We invite artists interested in carving a woodblock of at least 24 by 36 inches to participate!

Learn how to make a woodblock print of epic proportions in this blended learning workshop! First, you carve a design at home following BIG INK’s online master course. Then, you meet the BIG INK team at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH. Together we print your finished carving on The Big Tuna: our custom-designed giant mobile printing press. Take this opportunity to work at an ambitious scale (from 24 by 36 to 40 by 96 inches) and see your woodblock professionally printed!

No prior printmaking experience is necessary, and we encourage individuals of all skill levels. Online learning begins after you register and continues through August 25, 2023. Registrants must attend one in-person printing day, either August 26 or 27, 2023, which BIG INK assigns following the registration deadline. There are 16 slots available, and the registration deadline is June 19, 2023.
