With a show theme of "Metamorphosis," the evening will celebrate connection to the natural world through short, true stories and audience participation. Stories from the Outside will be MCed by Outside/In host Nate Hegyi.

This live taping will be added to the Outside/In podcast feed on February 18, 2026 and then broadcast on NHPR on February 21, 2026.

About the Outside/In podcast:
Look around, and you’ll find everything is connected to the natural world. At Outside/In, we explore that idea with boundless curiosity. We report from disaster zones, pickleball courts, and dog sled kennels, and talk about policy, pop culture, science, and everything in between. From the backcountry to your backyard, we tell stories that expand the boundaries of environmental journalism.

About NHPR:
NHPR is New Hampshire’s only statewide radio news service, broadcasting from 14 sites across the Granite State. NHPR journalists deliver local news, programs, newsletters, and podcasts. NHPR is the exclusive outlet for NPR News in the Granite State and broadcasts national weekly programs as well. At NHPR, our vision is that through trustworthy journalism, we enrich lives and build stronger communities, in New Hampshire and beyond. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to our mission. We strive to build an inclusive culture that links us to the communities we serve and to produce journalism and programming that reflect those communities’ diverse cultures, backgrounds, and viewpoints.
