This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Gawk, the breakthrough sophomore album from Boston-based indie trio Vundabar. Originally released in 2015 via their own imprint Gawk Records, Gawk was a defining moment for the band — an eccentric collision of surf-rock riffs, math-rock intricacy, and post-punk energy that quickly cemented Vundabar as one of indie rock's most exciting rising acts.

Praised by Pitchfork as "a charming, chaotic pile-up of surf-, math-, and art-rock," the album showcased the band's playful yet existential songwriting across ten tracks, including fan favorites "Chop," "Oulala," and the now-iconic "Alien Blues."

Nearly a decade after its release, Gawk found an unexpected second life when "Alien Blues" went viral on TikTok, soundtracking millions of videos and racking up over 800M streams. What began as a cult favorite in Boston DIY circles became a global anthem for a new generation, proving that Vundabar's oddball, hook-laden songwriting is as timeless as it is unique.

To mark the milestone, Vundabar will host a special 10-year anniversary show in Los Angeles at Scribble on November 13th, bringing Gawk back to the stage where it belongs: loud, raw, and full of the joyful weirdness that made it unforgettable in the first place. Fans can expect a Gawk-heavy setlist, deep cuts dusted off for the occasion, and the unshakable energy that has kept the band touring relentlessly for the past decade.
