More About Granite Goodness:
Granite Goodness highlights progress and problem solving across New England in climate, energy, sustainability, housing, infrastructure, economics, workforce development, science, technology, and non-profits. By focusing on stories that are substantive and optimistic (granite and good!) our newsletters and podcasts provide audiences with regional, rational optimism through an explicitly nonpartisan, solutions-oriented lens.

About Andy Demeo:
Andy DeMeo is the creator of Granite Goodness, a solutions-journalism project celebrating optimism, progress, and problem-solving across New England, proudly hosted in New Hampshire. A lifelong Granite Stater, Andy’s work has attracted regional recognition including Stay Work Play New Hampshire’s Young Person of the Year Award (2025), UNH's Alumni Sustainability Award (2025), Catapult Seacoast’s 10 to Watch Award (2025), and serving as a co-host of TEDx Portsmouth 2025, the largest TEDx event in New England. When he’s not talking to optimists around New England, Andy can be found doing homesteading projects with his nine chickens, two dogs, and one wife on their farm in New Hampshire's Mt. Washington Valley.

About the local podcasts:
