Stoke Fest is back. This year, it's bigger than the mountains.

Join Protect Our Winters for an unforgettable night of films, community, and inspiration in partnership with 3S Artspace.

After another winter of thin snowpack across the West, wild weather swings, and shifting seasons made one thing clear: protecting the places we love can't wait. With midterm elections this November, the outdoor community has a real shot to make its voice heard where it counts.

POW brings together world-class storytelling by connecting our love for the outdoors to meaningful climate action. Through premiere films, athlete stories, and conversations with local leaders and organizers, you'll see how skiers, riders, bikers, runners, and outdoor lovers are showing up this year, at the ballot box and beyond, to protect the seasons we live for.

Your ticket includes:

  • Premieres of inspiring outdoor films
  • Conversations with POW athletes, filmmakers, and community leaders
  • A voter engagement hub: check your registration, get election dates, and see what's on the ballot in your state
  • Opportunities to connect with local outdoor and climate organizations
  • Giveaways, prizes, and POW merch
  • Actionable ways to help protect the places we all love, this fall and beyond

Featured films include:

The Mind is The Environment (~5-8min): The Mind is the Environment is an abstract animated short exploring the connection between mindfulness, consciousness, and climate action. Created by POW Creative Alliance member Nico Schiavone, the film blends surreal, dreamlike visuals with poetic storytelling to show how being present can reconnect us to nature and inspire change. The animation is equal parts meditative and mind-bending, inviting viewers to step out of constant thought and into deeper connection. By merging art, philosophy, and climate awareness, the project reminds us that the environment isn’t something separate from us; it’s something we are, and something we can protect together.

StewardShip (~8min): A sailboat on the open ocean is freedom itself. Luc, a self-taught sailor, navigates Maine's rugged coast -- balancing solitude, community, and a life shaped by wind and water. His journey, intertwined with the Main Island Trail, becomes a testament to access, stewardship, and the deep bond between people and place.

New Blue View (~15min) New Blue View is a five-part short film series created by POW Creative Alliance member Liam Gallagher, following fly-fishing guide and conservationist Kyle Schaefer as he travels through the Gulf of Maine, one of the fastest-warming bodies of water on the planet. Part adventure story and part science-driven exploration, the series highlights how anglers, scientists, activists, and communities are adapting to a rapidly changing ocean. Throughout his journey, Kyle uncovers examples of innovation and resilience that reveal what a sustainable future for marine ecosystems could look like. New Blue View connects viewers to the pressing reality of ocean health and the solutions emerging from those who depend on it most.

100 Hours (~25min): Episodic video series or short film that frames Brody Leven's advocacy journey as parallel to POW's imperfect advocacy platform and Brody's career as a backcountry skier. The parallels between ski mountaineering and climate advocacy are apt, and the themes are meant to showcase what imperfect advocacy for the outdoors truly looks like in the lead up to the midterms.
