PENINSULA:

From the authors of Onde Nostre (Luca Merli, Matteo Ferrari, Giovanni Barberis, Gabriele Minelli and Alessandro Ponzanelli), PENINSULA is the tale of a journey to discover and describe where surfing in Italy came from and what it is like nowadays, and an homage to the Mediterranean Sea. A freedom collage about surfing and surfers, about friendship and rivalries, about environmental issues, climate and a bit of history. The film has been shot entirely shot in 35mm, 16mm and super8 film.  The movie is self-produced, so everybody can contribute to its final release with a small donation: please visit this link

The Bowtie Bandits:

Drew bought his first guitar in 2000 to impress a girl. It didn't work. But it did initiate a musical journey that has progressed into a fun and lively group of like minded musicians, The Bowtie Bandits. We are a group with its roots in folk music but play across many genres. We're smiling at every performance as we bring in a mix of original songs and unique covers. The make-up of the band is changing with the tides as we love to add new musicians into the mix, but the vibe is always fun and positive!

Soul Pirates:

Soul Pirates met through happenstance on the seacoast open mic circuit. Their decades of combined musical experience now melds into an acoustic rock ensemble to support the betterment of mankind. Tim Cahill, previously of the Babymakers, fronts the group on guitar. Born in Lowell, MA and musically bred in the hills of Virginia listening to Bob Schneider records, Tim’s ice blue eyes rival the depth of the Atlantic in which he surfs daily. Claiming to be from another planet, Nevin Brown delicately phrases lead guitar when not behind a lens. He was the band director for Portsmouth’s own Lady Luck Burlesque for several years. Mostly self-taught, his influences include bands like, Yes, Rush, Phish, the Beatles, and Tori Amos. Ann Moretuzzo has roots in Cleveland and Brooklyn playing drums with Bobbi Pin. She has been moved to tears at the live musical performances of Lykke Li, Blink-182, and Tame Impala. They will be accompanied by Joey Kenny of the Kenny Brothers on bass, who is also a fixture in Jake Davis & The Whiskey Stones, The Midnight Wrens, and The Marshall Farm Band. Soul Pirates’ debut album will be a charrette for the RPM challenge this February.
