Roger Clark Miller will perform excerpts from his new LP, Eight Dream Interpretations for Solo Electric Guitar Ensemble. This project pushes the edge of electric guitars into new directions (often bearing no relation to rock music) and uses dreams to structure music.

This is Miller's most complex live performance yet, utilizing four different guitars and a continuous foot-dance on multiple guitar effects and pedals. With live looping, there are often 3 to 5 Miller guitarists in action at one time. The experimental/psychedelic sounds are held in place by Miller's "Dream Interpretation Technique," where each composition is based on a specific dream from his dream journal. The sounds and the organic structures together produce a music previously not imagined and a new direction in electric guitar music.

The Dream Interpretations performances are part of the Opening Reception event in the Gallery the same evening: Transmuting the Prosaic, featuring Roger Clark Miller's vinyl record-based installation work and a short film creating an orchestral score based on traffic patterns, as well as Walking Out of the Shadows featuring hand-cut fiber panels dissolving the boundary between dreams and waking life by Sarah Nguyen.
