Lift Each Other Up: an evening of feminist networking + art appreciation + dance party

Feminist Oasis and 3S are excited to bring back "Lift Each Other Up" — our signature networking/art appreciation/dance party featuring DJ Skooch. All are welcome!

Flow of the evening:

#1 — 6:30pm: You arrive and drop your project "brag" into our Brag Bowl*
(come with it, or write it at the door)

#2 — We give you your cheat sheet of networking prompt questions
(don't worry, "what do you do?" isn't one of them!)

#3 — We call out 10-15 minute networking rounds so you can swap your prompt questions and meet more new cool neighbors — punctuated by live readings from the Brag Bowl, lifting up all your accomplishments (all the while, a slideshow of iconic feminist works of art rotates on the 3S stage)

#4 — Around 8pm, we'll break into the awesome kind of kick-ass dance party that only DJ Skooch can provide!

#5 — 9:30pm: You go home inspired and more connected to your community

*Our "Brag Bowl" is where you can drop in a card or slip of paper with a brief description of a project you're proud of (be sure to include links for us to find out more!), and we'll do several live drawings/readings from the Brag Bowl throughout the night to lift each other up, find out about everyone's cool projects and celebrate our collective work! We'll also email out a list of all of your brags (with links!) to all attendees, so you can take the pressure off during your in-person networking.

What's "feminist networking?"
At Feminist Oasis, our approach is rooted in our feminist values of: Solidarity, Resilience, Sustainability and Systemic Justice. What better way to build solidarity than to come together and celebrate each other's work, art, activism, side projects and passions? Plus, there's feminist art — and dancing can be a wonderful example of collective self-care, aka resilience!
