3S Artspace is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit contemporary arts organization that combines the only midsize, flexible Performance Space of its kind in the area, a large contemporary art Gallery, and a restaurant partner serving as a local hub, ideal as a gathering place for all.

3S is dedicated to presenting and supporting bold, emerging art and entertainment and cultivating an informal space for the exchange of ideas and creativity.

Following years of planning and fundraising, 3S Artspace opened to the public in March 2015. Thanks to the visionaries, philanthropists, and lenders that recognized the need to provide space for the kind of creative and communal experiences that shape us all, we have an incredible home at 319 Vaughan Street in downtown Portsmouth, NH. We remain open thanks to the generosity of artists, audience, and donors like you!

Culture is a catalyst. It grows an economy. It fuels potential. Join us!

Tristan Law Tristan Law Programming Associate/Talent Buyer

Tristan Law has been active in the Seacoast music scene since 2005.  From putting on shows in basements and living rooms, booking the Hush Hush Sweet Harlot series at The Red Door, to working with historic venues The Stone Church and The Press Room, he loves the community and the impact and unifying power of music upon it. Oftentimes can be found with his nose in a book, at a concert, or trying to nail down that curry recipe.

Sara O'Reilly Sara O'Reilly Marketing Manager

Sara O’Reilly joined the 3S team in 2018 via a marketing path that began in Boston where she managed advertising accounts such as the Museum of Science, then developed promotional campaigns for music acts at Live Nation New England. Most recently, she was vital to the growth of the retail, design, and marketing legs of a printmaking studio in the Seacoast area. Sara loves a good yard sale and napping on the porch of her family cabin in the Maine woods.

Alex Bourne Alex Bourne Front of House Manager / Lighting

Alex Bourne has been heavily involved with music and arts in the Seacoast for the better part of the past decade. In that time, he has opened and closed a recording studio, played in a handful of local and national bands, and toured the US and overseas at least a few times. When not at 3S, he can be found at one of the many venues in Portsmouth, or anywhere that's playing a Celtics game.

Laurie Contrino Laurie Contrino Development Manager

Laurie is thrilled to kick off 2019 by joining the 3S team. With her comes 10 years of non-profit work experience, including The Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Firehouse Center for the Arts, both located in downtown Newburyport, MA. With a strong background working within a diverse local business community as well as a thriving arts community, she is ready to hit the ground running as Development Manager for 3S. In her spare time (and when there is absolutely no spare time) you will find Laurie taking photographs - of everything.

Knate Higgins Knate Higgins Program Manager

Knate Higgins has been an award winning independent arts producer in and around New England for over 13 years. Most recently, Knate served as Special Series Curator for Seacoast Repertory Theatre, and as Creative Director/Curator for Deadwicks Ethereal Emporium.
